Recently, I sent out a brief reader survey to get your feedback so I can tailor this newsletter to what you want (and leave out what you don’t).
Thanks to everyone who took the time to provide feedback! Here’s a brief rundown of what I learned, and where we’re going:
You love historical deep dives. You want more of them: And there was more than one mention that you love the amount of research I put into them (which, thank you, I’m glad that work shines through).
I’ll continue sharing history-focused food content in here going forward: AND if there’s anything you especially want me to cover, please leave a comment and tell me!
You want a way to opt in/out of writing-focused essays and tips.
I initially started the Roots and Branches newsletter as part of this newsletter, before realizing it made things too dispersed.
Now, they’re two completely separate newsletters with separate URLs: So you can subscribe (or not) to one or both as meets your needs. That means staying subscribed to this newsletter will give you food- and nature-focused content, while my other newsletter is more craft of writing/creative practice-focused content. So opt in/out as you wish! You also want more nature essays, and more on my philosophy of home fermentation. And I’m happy to oblige with both!
Those, plus historical content, all make up the core of this newsletter, and it was reaffirming to see that the focus areas of my work are both clear to readers AND appreciated by readers.
If you have specific requests, I’d love to hear them!
Thank you again for reading, and taking the time to share your feedback with me. I so appreciate having you as a part of my reader community!
